The Dark Goodbye Vol 1 cover
published by Tokyopop (available in stores now) Pencil on bristol, ink washes, digital coloring The Dark Goodbye was my first time doing anything related to manga. It's a whole new bag of cats, I tell you. Working in such a small size dynamic really kind of threw me off. I didn't really get to do my usual texturing, since I felt kind of restrained. But anyway here we are... not shown anywhere else. Uncut and unedited before the design folks at Tokyopop added their bells and whistles, such as the title (which would go in that big blank space in case you were wondering). I'm pretty sure in the final they ended up gutting off the misty bottom. (which was my favorite part) |
