Sullengrey: Cemetery Things Uncut GN
November 28th, 2007
page 3

Pencil on bristol, touch ups and color in PS7

This was one of the 30 redone pages for the directors cut of SG. The original was a widescreen format which housed the book's credits. I wanted to showcase Salam in a different light this time. A moment of unsureness to where she falls in the grand scheme of things.

That was deep.

Wasted talent. by ~dreadscape "There's something about ~dreadscape comic art that can't be denied. From tiny lavish details to nitty-gritty pencils, he commands an imaginative arsenal of dark haunting art with a twisted sense of humor all within the confines of comic pages. This opening splash page from Sullengrey in particular gives you a taste of Drew's lovely moody pages. Here you can find little playful skulls all about, swirling autumn leaves filling the thick foggy air, and a creepy Mausoleum lurking behind our lead character, Salem. I can't recommend Drew's work enough. Check out his gallery for more dark comic arts!" - SpookyChan (Suggested by =SpookyChan and Featured by `misskittyoooo)

I really like the fountain.
The colors are pretty, and (like mr tekende above me said), they totally give you that autumn vibe ^^

i don't recall you showing this to me. how many yummy drawings are you hiding away?

This image, is, without a doubt- 'teh' sex.

I adore it so much more than the original opening. Though with a few years difference, there's no wonder.

Yummy colors and such a great overall feeling from this.

I love it.

You flatter us!

My wife, Jocelyn (writer and model for Salam), is a photographer and hasn't had the chance to go shoot for quite some time. She's been meaning too.

Thank you for preordering Sullengrey --- It's street dated for November 28th, so you should get it around then.
